To make Christlike disciples in the nations is the seven-word statement of mission for the Church of the Nazarene.  We cannot all go to countries around the world, but we can give and pray.

ICN Update: To date, ICN has collected 128 Crisis Care Kits (our goal was 200 kits) to help in times like on September 26 when the Philippines was hit by typhoon Ondoy. With heavier rains than the country has experienced in forty years, flooding has displaced half a million people and claimed over 200 lives. Local Nazarene churches have responded with open arms, sheltering the displaced and distributing Crisis Care Kits, food, and clothing. Thank you for coming alongside our brothers and sisters in prayer and support during this period of recovery. If you would like to contribute to these ongoing needs, pick up a crisis care kit today located by the main office and return them to ICN.

Through our support of NMI, we help provide housing and salaries for more than 800 missionaries, who serve in over 150 world areas. Read individual profiles for most of our missionaries by visiting the Nazarene World Mission website.

Loving Interested Nazarenes Knowing and Sharing

Every two years our church is assigned two missionary families. We pray for these families and correspond with them periodically throughout the year. In addition, we regularly correspond with and pray for missionaries who are from the Philadelphia District.

MEET OUR LINKS MISSIONARY....

Linda Russell is a global missionary for the Church of the Nazarene in Moscow, Russia. She has served in Moscow since 1995. Linda was born in Darby, Pennsylvania. She received a B.S. in elementary education at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts. She received the M.A. of education from Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho. She taught for 17 years in Meridian, Idaho, before she took a one-year absence to volunteer in Moscow as a Nazarene in Volunteer Service. Linda has an administrative role on the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Field and teaches two evening English classes a week at the Moscow Ministry Center. During the summer, she enjoys organizing and participating in Vacation Bible School and day camps on the Russia North District as well as coordinating an annual CIS Youth in Mission team.

One of our most exciting projects is our relationship with Evelyn Ministries and Immanuel Church of the Nazarene in Naivasha, Kenya. Evelyn Memorial Compassionate Ministry is a non-profit Christian organization that ministers to the abandoned street children in Kenya.

Good  News! About the Porter Family

"We just wanted to send Christmas greetings and let you all know that we are thinking about you during this special season. (Watson came up with this pose all by himself, so we decided to run with it!)

It seems that God is teaching us about being patient and how to be less independent. We are relying on others to help us with everything from work visas...to housing...to getting our crates shipped...to getting our washing machine repaired! We did successfully pick up our first care package at the post office today, but we wished that we had brought someone with us that could communicate a little better than we can right now. Thanks to Kim Wilson and the volunteers at the God Share Program who put together packages for missionaries all year round....that's their job, can you believe it? You can learn more about this organization at www.godshareprogram.org .

We hope that all of you are experiencing the joy of Christmas each day as we anticipate the celebration of Christ's birth. We are going to miss being with our family for Christmas this year. Don't forget to take the time to cherish having those you love around you this year. "
