At Immanuel, we believe life is a journey. Everything we do reflects our commitment to partner with you to experience God's best for your journey.

Our Mission

We receive our mission from Jesus himself found in Matthew 28:19-20 called the Great Commission:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
— Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)

In efforts to bring more people to Christ and send them on their own personal journey with God, we have built our church on five main purposes.

  1. Worship ... that honors and glorifies God.
Worship is both a lifestyle and an event. At Immanuel, our "event time" is Sunday at 9:30am. We come together to focus our attention on God through celebrities music, prayer, and Biblical life-application teaching. Our goal in each service is to honor God and to provide spiritual refreshment to everyone who attends. When we leave the worship "event," our goal is to live an authentic lifestyle by honoring God in our families, workplaces and personal lives.
  2. Relationships ... that are developed through friendships and small groups.

At Immanuel, we're committed to creating an environment where authentic relationships are built. Nothing quite compares to Christian friendship: the laughter, loved and care that friendships provide make life's journey more enjoyable.
  3. Learning Community ... hat invites us to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
The Bible invites each of us not only to become, but also to make, disciples of Jesus Christ. At Immanuel, this means providing an environment where God's Word is explored and applied to everyday life. Since becoming a disciple of Jesus is an ongoing process and is meant to be shared within a healthy community, we offer several venues: Sunday School classes for children and teens; Adult Bible Fellowship classes that meet on Sunday mornings; Life Groups that meet on Sunday night, men's and women's Bible studies that meet weekly, as well as other opportunities to learn and apply the Bible.
  4. Ministry ... that prepares people to serve God.
We're most like Jesus when we serve others. God has given each of us a unique S.H.A.P.E. (spiritual gif's, heart passion, specific abilities, a unique personality and life experiences). God uses your S.H.A.P.E. to help and to enrich the lives of others.
  5. Sharing the Story ... that shares the story of Jesus Christ with all people.
Everyone has a story to tell! As followers of Jesus, we're excited to share both His story and our own stories of the changes that a personal relationship with Jesus have made in our individual lives. We encourage our church family to share these stories and we also support people who share the stories all around the world.

Our beliefs as a church are scriptually-based and invite you on a journey with us in getting to know our Lord, Jesus Christ, more personally. We believe:

  • In one God expressed in Scripture as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • That Old and New Testament Scriptures, which were inspired by God and written through the personalities of people, contain all truth necessary for faith and Christian living. The Bible is the absolute authority for life.
  • That human nature, from birth, is inclined to sin.
  • That God is both loving and just, and although He doesn't want anyone to be eternally lost, He will hold all people accountable for their life.
  • That God provides forgiveness for sin through Jesus Christ.
  • That God's provision for forgiveness is for the entire human race; whoever confesses their sins to God, is willing to live by His directives as outlined in Scripture, and believes in the name of Jesus Christ, will be given eternal life.
  • That the Holy Spirit confirms this new eternal life.
  • That believers can experience freedom from, and power over, their natural inclination to evil, through the filling of the Holy Spirit.
  • That Christ will return to earth to bring all people before God in heaven where final judgment will take place.
  • That those who know Jesus Christ personally will live with Him in heaven forever.
  • In the sacrament of baptism and urge all believers to be baptized.
  • In the sacrament of the Lord's Supper and that it is for all believers.
  • That God heals, as the people of God pray for healing: that God works through medical science, and such treatment should not be refused.
